Get Only Incomplete and Recurring Entourage Tasks - GetEntourageTasks.sit - 40 K - Although iCal imported Entourage data, it provided precious little choice of what was to be imported. Not wanting to go through and delete all the items that I did not want handed over, I wrote this script to get only the recurring tasks and those that have not been completed in Entourage. Also, any task that is marked as recurring in Entourage is converted to a calendar event for iCal. The file is saved as a Script Application and should run by double-clicking. When task list and recurrence capability is upgraded in iCal, it will be handy in making the switch if desired.
Have QuicktimePlayer Read Your Schedule for Today (beta test) - QTDayCal.sit - 4 K - This Stuffit file contains the text source of a script I am beta testing for iCal Services Pack. After unstuffing, open the file in Script Editor and compile. Save as a "Compiled Script" into the Scripts folder. The script reads all the Calendars in iCal and gets all the events. The summaries of the events are saved as AIFF files along with a SMIL file coded for display in QuickTime Player into the Temporary Items folder. The Quicktime Player launches and should read your day's events in the calendar and display the text. I am hoping to get feedback on whether the script works correctly or not and what experiences are had by users.

Upon first launch and if the calendar file is missing, the application will alert that a calendar file needs to be created. By clicking on File > Create Calendar, a text file is created in ~/Library/. Under the Commands menu menu items to select the next three days from the current date, the next seven days, the next 14 days, the next 21 days and the next 30 days. DVD Stopper Applet - dvdstopper.sit.bin - 26 K - For OS X Only. This applet has only a small change to the loop movie applet that comes with DVD Player 3.1. Instead of looping the movie when it reaches the end, it stops the DVD Player. I made it cause I watch some DVDs and fall asleep while they play and then am awakened by some of the nightmarish loops that are used for menus.
