Scientists and medical professionals are discovering how useful digital video can be in advancing their research, educating patients, or sharing ideas and techniques with colleagues. Digital video allows them to capture video using a digital video (DV) camcorder, manipulate the resulting files on a computer, and store the video on digital media such as FireWire drives.

Apple Unveils Next Iteration Of Mac OS X

Headlining the list of new features are iChat, Apple's new instant messaging software; QuickTime 6, an upgrade of Apple's streaming media app; and Rendezvous, Apple's proposed new industry standard for automatic discovery of computers, devices and services on IP networks such as Ethernet and Apple AirPort.
